Summer Fun for Kids

The Eastern Giant Mountains (Krkonoše) are a paradise for children and family vacations. Here, you can combine trips into the nature of the National Park with an attractive program that kids will love. Directly in Vavřinec, children can run wild on the outdoor playground. During the summer season, we prepare daily animation programs for them. They also have access to a children’s, teenage, and VR playroom. We at Vavřinec simply know that where happy children are, their parents are too.

Alpine Coaster Relaxpark

You'll find the 900-meter-long alpine coaster track right behind the Aparthotel Svatý Vavřinec. It's open on weekends in the spring and daily in the summer. Thanks to transparent covers, it operates in all weather conditions.

Pecka Play Landscape

You'll find a natural playground with oversized climbing structures in the shape of Giant Mountain animals on Portášky in Velká Úpa. Admission is free. You can reach Portášky by taking a chairlift from Velká Úpa.

Lemurie Children's Park

Right next to the bobsleigh track in Pec, you'll find giant trampolines, climbing frames, and slides. Here, children can have a blast while you relax on the sunny terrace of the CrêPec pancake house, the first in the Giant Mountains.

Monkey park

The rope center right next to the bobsleigh track and Lemurie in Pec has a circuit for children up to 140 cm, for older children and adults, and also a ZipLine that crosses over the dam.

Tree Top Trail

Climb from the roots to the treetops. Thanks to the engagingly prepared information, you'll learn more about the nature of the National Park. Right next to the Trail, you can also enjoy the Emil's Forest World children's playground.

Cable Cars in Pec and the Surrounding Area

In Pec, take advantage of 3 cable cars, including the one to Sněžka. From Janské Lázně, take a gondola up Černá hora. Take in the views from the peaks of the Giant Mountains, or simply use the cable cars to reach the starting points of your trips.

The highest lookout tower in the Giant Mountains

You'll find the highest lookout tower in the Giant Mountains at the upper station of the Hnědý vrch cable car in Pec. 138 steps lead to the top.
